Gawro: 40% More Engagement for a Web Hosting Provider

The Client

Gawro is a web hosting provider and accredited domain registrar serving three very different audiences at once: small businesses building their first online presence, individuals — bloggers, freelancers, students — creating personal sites and portfolios, and developers who need flexible, scalable hosting. Their catalogue covers shared hosting, cloud hosting, VPS, managed WordPress hosting, and SSL certificates.

The Challenge

The hosting market is one of the most crowded corners of the internet. Gawro wanted to stand out against established giants but needed guidance on how — and their platform had to do heavy lifting from day one: plans, domains, billing, and support for three distinct customer types, all without overwhelming any of them.

Hosting websites have a particular failure mode: they drown visitors in technical jargon and choice. Every confused visitor becomes either a lost sale or a support ticket.

The Approach

We started with user research to identify where hosting customers actually get stuck, then designed wireframes and prototypes around those pain points before building on WHMCS — the industry-standard platform for hosting automation.

The build focused on five things: enhanced navigation that routes each audience to the right plans, streamlined service management so customers can handle domains and hosting without contacting support, responsive design across devices, custom integrations, and an optimized checkout that gets buyers from plan selection to payment with minimal friction.

The Results

The numbers after launch:

  • 40% increase in user engagement — visitors explore plans and tools instead of bouncing
  • 25% reduction in support tickets — self-service management means fewer "how do I…" emails

That second number matters as much as the first: for a hosting company, every avoided ticket is recurring operational cost saved, month after month.

What This Means for Your Project

Gawro's story is the pattern we apply to every build: research where users struggle, design for self-service, and measure what changes. If your platform generates more support tickets than sales, that's a design problem with a measurable fix. Book a free consultation — we'll look at it together.
