The Client
Telescope Wolves is an online retail store. Like many growing e-commerce businesses, they'd reached the point where their store worked — technically — but was quietly working against them.
The Challenge
The symptoms were textbook: a buggy site, low conversion rates, and carts abandoned at checkout. Traffic was arriving; sales weren't following.
Cart abandonment is rarely one big problem. It's an accumulation of small frictions — a glitch here, a confusing menu there, a checkout that asks one question too many on a phone screen. Each one costs a percentage; together they cost the business.
The Approach
We didn't start with design. We started with user research — identifying exactly where shoppers hesitated, backtracked, or left. Only then did we design clean wireframes and prototypes in Shopify, focused specifically on the shopping and checkout experience where the losses were happening.
The revamp delivered improved navigation so products are findable in two taps, full mobile responsiveness — because that's where carts go to die — and custom features fitted to how their customers actually shop.
The Results
- 35% increase in conversion rates post-launch
- Significant drop in cart abandonment
Same products, same traffic — more customers completing purchases. That's what fixing friction does: it converts spend you've already made (on ads, on SEO, on inventory) into revenue you were already earning but not collecting.
